Some things are just too funny.

Take my nephew for instance. He's growing up so fast, and now that he's talking more and more, he has been saying the funniest things! The day I took this photo, he was playing outside in our backyard. Well, while he was running around aimlessly, the neighbor's dog charged the fence and began barking loudly. He immediately stopped, looked at the dog, actually he stared at the dog for about 10 seconds, then he began running back to his dad saying "All done, all done, all done..." with his hands outstretched and the look of absolute fear. It was priceless!

Another great story just happened recently.

For Christmas last year, I bought him a rocking motorcycle and he didn't play with it much at the time because he was still learning to walk. Now that he's a lot bigger and more steady on his feet, he rocks on it all the time. He even rocks himself to sleep! My brother was watching him a few days ago and caught this on camera...

It's things like this that I don't want to forget. When he gets older, I want to tell him stories of all the funny things he did as a baby.

Last One Standing.

All of our plants are winding down for the winter. When I let Rayla outside today, I noticed there was one, lonely, shasta daisy left. Droopy and pitiful looking, it's the last sign of our hard-work from the past summer. We probably planted at least 25 individual flowers and plants, plus a pear tree, around our patio since Spring. Our backyard is slowly transforming from boring and plain to something unique and symbolic to our personality. Is Spring almost here?

Sigh.

I can already tell it's going to be a long winter.

Allison and Jerry's E-Session.

I was still collecting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle action figures when I met Allison (and no, it wasn't last year). That's how long I've known her. She's been a great friend to my sister and when she asked me to photograph her wedding, I was super excited. Jerry and Allison are perfect together and it was obvious during the engagement session.

After shooting in downtown Mt. Clemens, we moved on to this railroad track nearby, and just as we were walking up to the tracks, I saw a train light off the in the distance. Could it be!? Yep, it was a train coming and we were pumped to get some shots as it passed by.

I just wish it was a bit warmer than the bone-chilling 45 degrees it was, but we still had fun. So, here are some of my favorites from the evening. Enjoy.

Looking back in black and white.

Wow, the last few weeks flew by... I cannot believe I've already been married for almost 2 weeks! And it's nearly Halloween! Sheesh.

One of the things I love to do (just ask Haley) is sift through some of my old photos and add adjustments here and there. In the midst of my wedding preparation and everything that was going on, I totally forgot about this gem.

They just swung on there like they've been doing it all their lives. They are cousin-in-laws, but Haley says it's ok if they get married since there's no blood connection. I agree.

Matt and Amber's Wedding.

You couldn't paint a more perfect day, perfect wedding and perfect couple. The sun was out, warm September weather, light breeze and Matt and Amber were looking great! It's really inspiring to see two people who really love each other like Matt and Amber. It wasn't hard taking photos of these two because their love sets the mood for every one of their photos.
